Nicholas Goh, a millennial entrepreneur at 35 yrs old, is the Founder and CEO of TWIN Agritech Co. Ltd, a Cambodian business that recycles waste into organic fertilizers and animal feed, hence the acronym TWIN – ´Turning Waste Into Nutrients”.

From the time he was a young man, Nicholas recognized that God had put an entrepreneurial DNA with a compassion for the disadvantaged into his heart.

At age 16, he decided to drop out of school, full of fervor for God’s work, to serve with the youth ministry helping delinquents, and working with ex-offenders through charities. He also started his first business venture delivering food for a fee, a forerunner of the modern “Uber Eats” model.

Nicholas’ innate passion for the disadvantaged and entrepreneurship continued to stir in his heart with the desire to search out solutions to make this world a better place through business. It was then his eyes were opened, and he realized that he had to go back to school to finish his university education to have a better grasp of the world of business.

Through the many school trips to Cambodia as a volunteer, Nicholas grew in compassion for this land and for the poor farmers. Eventually, he received a divine calling from God directing him to start a life in Cambodia.

Then in 2012, he took the big step of faith to leave a comfortable lifestyle working in the finance industry, and courageously relocated himself to Cambodia and started a new life as a humble farmer without any farming knowledge, cultural awareness or local language literacy. He simply plugged himself into the world of the Khmer farmers – eating, living and working as one of them.

From the constant ploughing dirt and waste with his hands, God, by His grace and provision, led Nicholas to find a successful formula to create eco-friendly organic fertilizers, a key ingredient that gave him traction for his developing TWIN business. Today, TWIN Agri is the largest supplier of organic fertilizers in Cambodia serving up 800-900 tons of fertilizers per month, seeing a 10x growth in the last 4 years. In 2016, Nicholas was among the people highlighted by former President Tony Tan during his visit and reception for Singaporeans living and working in Cambodia.

Come and listen to Nicholas share about his journey of faith in a foreign land, how God had literally delivered him from physical dangers of wild tigers, snakes and cobras, demonic spirits and near-death encounters, as well as challenging business issues of negative cash flow to the point where he could no longer afford to pay his employees, forcing him to almost terminate his business, only to be saved at the eleventh hour by a well-known Singaporean Christian angel investor.

Nicholas answered God’s divine calling and is now walking a purpose-driven life as a Kingdom social entrepreneur. With God’s continuing favour, he is positioned at places of influence – both in the Cambodian and Singaporean government statutory board as advisor and consultant, making a difference socially, economically and environmentally to the disadvantaged in Cambodia.
