Josephus Tan is a prominent criminal lawyer in Singapore, well known for his pro-bono work, handled many high profile controversial cases that made him the target of media frenzy. He has often been labelled as “Singapore’s gangster lawyer” and wears this label like a badge of honour. Spotted with his long silky hair and the tattoos on his arm, no one can give a miss to ask who is this guy and what is he doing in a courtroom. He is well-known for how he turned his life around from a delinquent and alcoholic to hipster lawyer, an example of the prodigal son in the biblical parable.

Many of you may have heard about his delinquent story – the first part of his life where he turned around but after having a bad year in 2017, many had not known, he was once again down and out, beaten to the ground. In that year, he fell into depression after he lost his dearly-missed dad to cancer, faced near bankruptcy with mountains of debts, suffered a mild stroke that saw him hospitalised with almost no possibility of even paying for his hospital bill, and having to work as a pest controller and dish-washer to make ends meet. Yet God never forsakes him and had him remember his divine calling as a lawyer. Falling into the grace of God, once again the Lord lifted and delivered him on eagle’s wings through many miracles, to keep his faith and finish his race with grace. As the Lord brings restoration, refreshing his soul, he is making a come back to continue a good fight in his calling to defend the helpless.

About This Event

In this upcoming Business Empowerment Evening, Josephus will be sharing his personal faith journey to the Fellow brothers & sisters-in-Christ, Marketplace Leaders, Entrepreneurs, Professionals and Business Owners, testifying of God’s grace and calling upon his life. When all others had given up on him, God had never left him but instead set him up for the Glory of  His Presence & Grace to be manifested through his life story.

Join us for an evening to draw upon the biblical truths of grace living out in the life of his beloved children, where word became flesh. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

If you are downtrodden and feeling a sense of defeat, come and be encouraged to strengthen your faith in our mighty and loving God – a miracle maker full of grace.
